Stay Put Presale
Stay Put, Elexa's third studio album, is nearly complete! This collection of stories, thoughtfully curated and recorded, is all about home, roots, and the element of earth. Where Wanderlust felt like flying on a rocket ship, this one celebrates the virtues of digging deep. Every song points to a truth about the importance of the places that made us.

Practitioner of the Soul
Elexa Dawson is a practitioner of the soul. Her red-dirt honey vocals and rhythmic guitar style deliver a sound that hits home. Both familiar and intriguing, her songs speak of the earth and community, and celebrate all relationships, from mother and child to friend and lover.
Hailing from her Potawatomi and Cherokee country home in Oklahoma and now living in Kansas, Dawson is best recognized for her work with Weda Skirts. Her 2019 solo debut album "Music is Medicine" was awarded Best Country Recording at the Native American Music Awards, and her 2024 album, “Wanderlust”, co-created with Okie indie-rockers Stanley Hotel, soared to the top of the international folk charts with its soul-stirring journey across time, presenting ancestral channelings with an invigorating Americana soundscape.

"Wanderlust"
In the red dirt hills of Oklahoma, Elexa Dawson and Stanley Hotel created Wanderlust, an album described as "a soul-stirring journey through earth and sky" that guides listeners through themes of love, connection, and ancestral wisdom. Released on February 2, 2024, Wanderlust debuted at #11 on the Folk Alliance International Chart, with "Lot of Life" also ranking as song of the month.
